I'm still not experiencing any of the buffeting issues with the stock Model B windscreen; however, I do notice a difference at higher speeds with the fairing Winglets opened vs closed...

I put the Klok Works on my bagger today. I need to ride both back to back in order to really judge them. I just went for the first ride on the Klok Werks and I felt like my eyeballs were bouncing around.

I’m getting out tomorrow for a longer second ride with the Klock Werks shield. My first ride had me really impressed, but I didn’t go too far or too fast. Tomorrow will give me a better idea. I hope it hold up with what I experienced the first go.

Any more thoughts? I test-rode the KW and the OEM back to back today. I need to do it again and put my action cam on my helmet. As I said before, with the KW screen, my helmet vibrated, which caused my vision to become slightly blurred, like how the view looks from the mirror, a little blurred from the vibration. I put the OEM back on, and it was pretty much the same, with maybe a little less wind noise. The weird thing is that I never noticed the eyeball vibration with the OEM screen until I did this back-to-back test. :-|

Did some decent miles last week with it. It’s mostly awesome, but I had some cross winds that did shoot up and gave me the experience you had with the vibrations. That was intermittent, with most the ride just being pretty sedate and comfortable.

While it’s not making me invincible to the air around me, I’m definitely keeping it on. I’m eager to see how I like it during some colder weather rides.

I’ve never ridden anything that has “great” wind protection, so I’d be curious how this setup compares to a bike known for its wind management.

Star-lord,
When you look over your stock R18B windshield, is there quite a bit of vertical distance between line of sight and top of shield?
My first test drive of a B back in 2021 was without a helmet and I seemed to get it in the face at highway speed.

I have purchased several Klok-Werks windshields over the years for various makes and models. That little flip makes a big difference.
HD dealerships like the KlockWerks screen whenever the subject of windshields comes up. I have bought two shields for my previous two HD bikes and both times the parts guy took me to the KlockWerks hanging on the wall.

After several hundred miles with the KW screen, vibration happens when I have my helmet visor up. That air is coming up and catching under the visor, shaking my head and causing my eyes to bounce around. It’s fine when I close it. That’s too bad; I ride with it open more than closed. I tried a clip on deflector, but they are not the solution for me. When properly adjusted, I’m looking through the clip-on, which I hate, and I’m not a fan of the look.

Do you have lowers on your bike?IMG_0145.jpeg

I bought 2 screens from 7 jurock. California.
An 18” with flip at the top and 20” straight.
The 18” is an improvement over the standard screen.
The 20” had all but completely stopped the eye wobble.
If anyone wants an 18” screen that’s done 8 miles. Drop me a message.
Pictures are the 20” screen.

Fleabag,
Prior to putting lowers on my R18, I had loads of updraft beneath a Jurock 18”. It was so bad the flip-up face shield on my 3 quarter helmet would not stay down.
At first I questioned the Jurock, then R2K suggested lowers from Memphis Shades.
What a would of difference!

If your eyes are bouncing with lowers on your bike the problem is KlockWerks.
I can ride 70mph with no turbulence.

What type of helmets are you wearing?
