Not OP, but my experience with the Klock Werks shield is yes, it really moves a lot of air and reduces turbulence/buffeting.Did it fix the buffeting?
I’m getting out tomorrow for a longer second ride with the Klock Werks shield. My first ride had me really impressed, but I didn’t go too far or too fast. Tomorrow will give me a better idea. I hope it hold up with what I experienced the first go.I put the Klok Works on my bagger today. I need to ride both back to back in order to really judge them. I just went for the first ride on the Klok Werks and I felt like my eyeballs were bouncing around.
Any more thoughts? I test-rode the KW and the OEM back to back today. I need to do it again and put my action cam on my helmet. As I said before, with the KW screen, my helmet vibrated, which caused my vision to become slightly blurred, like how the view looks from the mirror, a little blurred from the vibration. I put the OEM back on, and it was pretty much the same, with maybe a little less wind noise. The weird thing is that I never noticed the eyeball vibration with the OEM screen until I did this back-to-back test. :-|I’m getting out tomorrow for a longer second ride with the Klock Werks shield. Did some decent miles last week with it. It’s mostly awesome, but I had some cross winds that did shoot up and gave me the experience you had with the vibrations. That was intermittent, with most the ride just being pretty sedate and comfortable.Any more thoughts? I test-rode the KW and the OEM back to back today. HD dealerships like the KlockWerks screen whenever the subject of windshields comes up. I have bought two shields for my previous two HD bikes and both times the parts guy took me to the KlockWerks hanging on the wall.I have purchased several Klok-Werks windshields over the years for various makes and models. That little flip makes a big difference.
YesDo you have lowers on your bike?View attachment 16272
BespokeI'm looking for a taller flip up screen for a Classic 2024. No joy in the UK
Clearviewshields make different height screens in the states dunno if they ship to UK though .I'm looking for a taller flip up screen for a Classic 2024. No joy in the UK
What type of helmets are you wearing?Did some decent miles last week with it. It’s mostly awesome, but I had some cross winds that did shoot up and gave me the experience you had with the vibrations. That was intermittent, with most the ride just being pretty sedate and comfortable.
While it’s not making me invincible to the air around me, I’m definitely keeping it on. I’m eager to see how I like it during some colder weather rides.
I’ve never ridden anything that has “great” wind protection, so I’d be curious how this setup compares to a bike known for its wind management.
