The secondary and local networks are simply drivers & riders heaven.

Can you have the bike transported? If done with advance planning and a flexible pick up it can be quite reasonable. There are several (insurance) recovery services which pick up stranded tourists/travellers cars here in the south and those usually go this way empty.
Something to consider for the future

Ha ha, you got my attention and I translated Hooters to Spanish. 😂😂😂😂😂 it spelled it correctly “Tetas” 😛

That is fun indeed; it could as easily have been ´bocinas´ :ROFLMAO:

The bocinas for the R18 should be here this week. Hooting louder and deeper than the original. Will ask my bride to present them 🫣

They are in. Sturdy, large and réal classic looking. They should júst fit and will look the part.
No + or - marked. Don´t know if it matters on the R18. Would expect not.
Need to wait some though as it would most definitely be a faux pas to start faffing with tools during wedding preps. Checking the Nimbus I can justify because it will be the vehicle I drive my bride home with.

Low tone.
Replace the BMW plug with spade connectors.
Nothing major. You need a spacer under the horn bracket thus a longe bolt into the frame so the stop on the side stand clears it when retracted. This was the only ´challenge´ really.

Very cool time to go looking

So searching the Bosch catalogue i found a single low tone in black to match my colour scheme

On order should arrive next week
Thanks for the great tip.

The caveat is that imo BMW fitted the lightweight horn because gravity is at right angles pulling down at a songle bolt fitting. The heavier horn thus excerts a larger moment.
Thinking about something to take some of the weight off as the bracket is meant for vertical load only.

Sharing is the point of a forum ;-)

I get your choice. Suits the bike.

I wanted chrome and classic.
Was in dubio between a nice R50 one or this. Since the R18 is an over the top bike, went for the latter. Téchnically the former would have been better. I may have to relocate it to under the steering head and extend the wiring. Hope not as this looks 🤭 in keeping with the concept.

Ahhhh, but the lóóks

Also a great excuse to faff a bit with the thing

The brake bodge works a treat btw. : Just that little bit lower makes a world of difference.

Next is the exhaust flap cables.

Hmmm. Easier written than done though; disconnecting the flap cables.

The photos can b easily ´misleading´ in the sense that it under the bike it is not all that visible nor accessible. Less still rolling on the floor when 68 with two ti hips and one ti shoulder.

Anyway, started with taking the plastic covers off and looking at the cable adjusters.

First lunch now.

Done. Though not started the engine yet so no info on code or sound.
Did not do it for sound btw but because I do not like the idea of the exhaust being throttled; adding resistance, retaining hot gasses and reducing fuel efficiency.

Was more of a faff than expected.
The anchors did not easily free from the wheel.
In the end laid down the bike on the lhs cylinder head to do the rhs valve and vv.

Not happy with the anchors floating about in there. That is a hook up waiting to happen. Seems simply cutting is the fail safe solution.
Best delete the whole thing, servos and all.
German sellers should have plug in simulators.
