Wunderlich Gear Shifter extensions

Looks good.
If you're interested: I also switched the shift levers so the rear lever is on the outside of the shift shaft and the forward lever is on the inside. For me, that gave me a bit more room for the toe of my boot, and allowed me to set the rear lever 1 notch lower without it hitting the exhaust.

I realised I should have taken a photo from the top to show the bigger difference.

Let us know how the rubber rings hold up. I installed the Hornig extender and the O-rings on it, don't last at all. I gave up replacing them.

Will do.
Will also take a closer look at them tomorrow to see how robust they look. And upload a photo if I can show how thick they are.
First impressions more solid feel than the standard ones I removed.

Ok I thought you swapped the location on the spine to allow more clearance. Not switched front to back.
I have the classic so maybe not as much issue with the clearance.
How do you find the rubber rings on the wunderlich extension I see you are running as the front one?

Red64, NoelPolar switched his shift arms front to back; I switched mine inside to outside on the shaft.
I presume you'll give these ideas a try. Let us know how it works out.
 
The screws that hold these together are right hand threaded. Natural shifting action will cause them to loosen and fall off.
You must ensure that you use a good thread locker or you will lose them!
 
Today I did a final adjustment on the front to accomodate my riding boots. Went for a quick ride to pick the daughter up from school and must say the feel is completly different. Easy to shift down but even better up shifting small movement of the foot and can find the rear shifter very easily.
Fogot to take photos will post tomorrow and also look at the rubber as mentioned previously
 
Close up of the rubber section. Almost impossible to fold back. Very thick and strong rubber.

Have done a couple of longer rides now and very happy with the final placement. My foot is sitting with the toe just sitting to the left of the front lever and heel is pressed into the back lever. simple slight lift and right movement for down shift and lift and down for the up shift.
I was especially struggling with down shifts when sitting still at trafic lights now that is no longer an issue as the boot is perfecly located.

Boot size US 8 1/2 for those interested

Upgraded the gear shifter extensions. Both front and back extensions added.

I made the same modification to my 2022 Transcontinental. I could barely "locate" the shifter pedals without it, having to turn my feet inward very uncomfortably before I made the mod - the same with my brake pedal. These small changes made all the difference in the world.

Cu Dubh, we must be fairly close as I live near Portersville?
 
Curious, where does your foot tend to rest? I have size 12 feet and find it awkward and don't know where to rest my foot. I end up resting my heal on the shifter but then need to hold my foot up slightly which isn't that comfortable after a long distance. My foot doesn't fit in between the two shifters. I have thought about potentially just removing the heal shifter but do like the action of shifting with my heal if I'm shifting a lot.

Not quite 12, but I'm 11.5 and was considering the extensions. I've gotten used to having my feet kinda out toed (duck foot). Lets me slide my foot forward past the edge of the floorboard even. The bad part is what some mentioned here, having to lift my foot back and up to find the downshifter. I've learned to just deal with it. The more I ride, the less of an issue it's become.
