I almost always wear gloves but looking at it, it appears the sharper edge may be uncomfortable on bare hands in the really hot weather.
I rarely wear gloves, so I'll let you know. That corner is less than it looks, mostly reflection. The chrome one is just the same.

I got the Wunderkind 2 stripe clutch lever on today. I'll try to tackle the brake lever this weekend when I do my Spirit filter. Definitely a big improvement in feel already.

Thank you for buying these! I was going to but wanted to see some comparisons… idk if I can get past the chrome and black mess situation here.. but I love the handles… I know all is positive so far but how would you rate this mod on a 1-10 scale

We will see, but in my grip its a solid 7.5. Its not like the shorty levers I'm used to on ADV and sport bikes, but definitely a big improvement. As I use them I will let you know if that goes up or down.

I think I’m might do them cause of the grip being closer… I feel like sometimes I’m too far for the buttons and need to rearrange my hands cause I’m so far out to the end of the handle bar.. so you confirm it makes the stroke shorter huh…

I should have time to do the brake side this weekend. I'll take pics to show the difference. Measurements before and after for reach. This way you can make an informed decision.

Fwiw.... I needed shorter levers to get the bike down a narrow side of a new house.... so I got these.... and thought a bit about the colour etc. But..... I removed the chrome bar end weights as part of tne narrowing excercise anyhow and don't mind the look.

Uffff that brings up memories of the eighties when that was a critical factor for motorcycles. It was thé reason I had a long lasting experience with various Guzzis and nó BMWs apart from a short go with the R25/26 that simply was to small capacity.

Different times that. Just óne locally heated room and during the winter thick ice (frozen condense) on the window sills.
One winter had to put a heater under the sump of my Guzzi or even the new battery would not turn the crankshaft at sufficient speed.

When my wife also needed to commute a bit further away, we bought a second hand MZ 250 with Elastik sidecar (parked on the road) and alternated the Guzzi and that between us depending on road conditions.

No modern clothing nor integral helmets so either a boiler suit or waxed cotton, frozen breath on the outside of the balaclava. No Goretex so feet with double socks in a plastic bag in the oversize boots. No heated grip so lined gloves inside ´mittens´ but still inténse pain that made you cry when the blood returned.

And then there are still people that write all was better...

p.s. drizzling here in the mountains; like living insíde a cloud. Only júst above freezing this morning. Equals carburettor freezing. On cars there was the ´winter´ position on the filter pan snorkel. Nowadays an extra rev on starting the bike is an issue 🫣
Speaking of starting; anyone remember kick starters? Oh my; a second push on the ´start´ button? Hint; there was a reason for the steel insert in the motorcycle boot sole :ROFLMAO:

Since done a refit on the new replacement decals. This time I completely removed the cylinder guards and stood over the top in good light to centre them (happy now).
I have a dry sports air filter that I purchased, which will be fitted on first service (the Service Department have told me that they will deduct the cost of their filter off the service price) and I’m getting the brake/clutch levers powder coated black after the Christmas break.
It’s great that none of the extras that I’ve added have cost much at all… although I’m thinking of black tube covers to go over the area between the top of the fork and the fork brace. I’m not a fan of the old covers, so I just have to find ones that fit, without having to mortgage the house. Any suggestions?IMG_1710.jpeg

It's 21° F here. (-6°C) So, please ignore the messy garage.

I love this bike, but I don't think it should be a chromasaurus. Started fixing that by swapping the coil covers and mirrors. I'll get to the front motor cover once I get hold of stubby Torx drivers.

You know I like the chrome on my black and it being a chromasaurus, but the black diffidently looks good with the red paint. Maybe add black pinstripes to bring it all together. You are really on to something with this. Well done
