This is a repeat thread for new members or those who haven't heard of this great mod. It drastically improved my highway riding experience. What I am sharing here is not my original work, but what I learned from our very own R2K.
Prior to installing lower deflectors on my R18 bike, highway speed updraft turbulence was enormous. My 3/4 helmet would not stay down. At first I thought the problem was with the new Jurock shield I installed. It wasn't. The 18" Jurock is a terrific shield for me at 5'8".
After installing the lowers (shown in the pic) from Memphis Shades, the updraft went to zero. I use the word zero because there isn't any wind rising from underneath anymore. None.
These lowers from Memphis shades have a very light smoke tint. Lucky for me I ordered the Jurock windshield with light smoke also,

Here is the information you need to duplicate this mod.
Memphis Shades
The part number for the deflectors is MEM5804
The part number for the mounting brackets is MEK1980
Here is the URL for it:

This particular one is for the Yamaha Roadliner, but fits the R18 just right.
