Tractor seat - not BMW Hommage

I expect it's comfortable, I like the wide tail, and the air suspension seems like it'd be a great feature. A bit of an aesthetic departure perhaps, but on target for fit and function.

Comfort means everything when riding. In the same way that kate_brett doesn't like cramped riding, I don't like to lean forward to reach the bars.

Function over form. And it is very comfortable ; ergonomically and negating the effects of road irregularities ( ie: potholes ).

Wheel chock, scissor lift at rear with small block of wood ( does not touch any plastic ) and support stands ; easy rear wheel lift for those who need help. Scissor lift to raise rear ( to rear of underside plastic ) then place supports under rear swing arm. Very stable with front wheel chock.

Latest modification ; incorporate rear lights ( recycle ) with seat ; wiring to lights will be tidied up. Risers, small front indicators and side mount licence plate holder too follow.

Hmmm, out of curiosity, could you get a buddy to take a pic of you riding it? Curious to see what it looks like with someone on it. Does it feel like your riding on top of it?

No, doesn’t feel like l’m on top of it. Since l don’t suffer from “Duck’s disease” needed the extra 3 inches of height to be comfortable ( airbags help too ). Look at the Indian Chiefs from 30-40’s and see photos of seat/rider height and position ; similar seating position ; that was my inspiration. Beach bars assist as well in providing more natural seating position for me.

Seconded, also interested in seeing how much legroom this setup provides.

Any other photos of the install? I’m also looking to old Indians and Panheads for seating inspiration. Such a big bike deserves comfy and proportional seat.

Hi, one remark to the crash bars.
I had the same ones and i ''tested'' them when my new rear tyre slipped on the corner. They worked and saved mufflers, but downpipe cover and also valve cover were scratched because bar bended when bike fall on the road. Roland Sands valve trim was scratched also. Speed was close to zero, because i was leaving the traffic light from zero speed. I've decided to replace them with Wunderlich bars which have the support between bar and bike frame and also better covering the valve cover. Might help to someone who wants to purchase some

I have been unfortunate enough to drop my bike twice (slow speed manoeuvres)
I have the BMW engine crash bars and I am very thankful for them. In the two occasions, the only damage was a scratch to the lower part of the bars itself, as small as my little finger nail. The rest of the bike escaped unharmed. When the bike was on its side on the last drop, I threw myself on the floor before picking her up and I was glad to see that even the exhaust and the bags were clear of the floor by 2cm or so. I don’t know the other manufacturers but I can’t recommend the BMW ones enough.
