What would be an inexpensive solution to lift either a R18 TC’s front or rear wheel for air inflation or cleaning?

I guess what I really meant to ask was, for the Redline jack mentioned above, where under the Transcontinental would it be placed for either the front or rear wheel to be lifted slightly, and would the jack work by myself or also would it also need wood blocks or such along with it to prevent any damage to the bike?

I am trying between my busy schedule to see one of the Redline jacks in person.Buying online, it's a crap shoot, may cost a bit to return but on the other hand, the price is nice. There was another thread that someone recommended a Harbor Freight unit.I pretty much want to be able to clean the wheels. My wheel dock holds the bike straight up so no issue w/oil changes. All the R18's are a heavy bike. That being said.I don't want to damage something or kill myself in the process:ROFLMAO:

Please post back if you find a good solution!

Copy above than paste to YouTube than enter and play.he use every tool from bmw special tool.

That’s a really nice setup Black Dog. I know those are 10mm studs like you said but are they of a particular kind? They look pretty thick. Also, does the jack itself have any holes for the studs or are they simply resting on the jack? I’m not seeing scissor jacks on Amazon with holes on the surface.
Don't expect answers from BlackDog, he's not here anymore (sadly)

I use this jack with the two adjustable frame saddles centered on the frame exhaust hangers (where the factory tool lifts at the rear) and have had no issues. I spend extra time ensuring the weight of the frame is centered on the stud base of the saddle to ensure the saddle itself won't deform under an eccentric load.

I will say the BMW factory set up is about as "bomb proof" as you can get. I agree the heft of our bikes can get unwieldy fast once it starts to lean and will only end in differing levels of "bad".

check this youtuber! he is the best! r18 10000km service valve adjust included!
Excellent. Thank you. Any idea if I can add sub titles to this? Not sure if it might be possible via YouTube or not.

I use the excellent X518 mounting stand from Hornig, for all my R18 maintenance from tires to fluids. There is a lot of info on this forum using the X518 (also below). I use one modification to the excellent X518 mounting stand. Once your r18 is up front and rear on the X518 stand, I use one self-loading positioning wheel dolly from harbor freight (see below) when ready to ride. Lower the forward part of the X518 so the front wheel is on the floor and the rear of course will stay raised on the X518 rear wheels. Then I spend less than one minute!!! using this incredible dolly by pumping the front wheel up a few inches using my foot (see video below). It was on sale for $115 us. Now with one finger effort on the bike handlebar, I can swing the bike around its X518 dolly rear wheel axis 0-360 degrees. I ride the bike straight into the garage, raise front and rear on the X518, then when ready to ride and turn the bike around 360 degrees, I do as above then lower the side stand, remove the dolly, then lower the rear X518. All together everything takes up no more room than the R18...no large equipment, no crazy expense! From up on the X518 storage, doing the 360, to ride out in less than 7 minutes. No sweat!

EDIT: AND WHY DO I ALWAYS TRY TO FIND THE EASIEST AND LEAST EXPENSIVE WAY TO DO THINGS?....because my wife said that at my ripe "middle" age of 81, if I don't, flying and riding for 60 years will be a memory!!!!!!!!!!! Don't argue with your better half!
