You had that done? ... that mechanic is going to love you (insert sarcastic grin here) an inexpensive part ... in a really hard to get to locationTransmission breather replaced. I hope this fixes the leak.
Yeah, they determined the leak was coming from the breather…. I hope they put everything back together correctly. You had that done? ... that mechanic is going to love you (insert sarcastic grin here) an inexpensive part ... in a really hard to get to locationI hope that fixes your problem.
You go ahead and "hope"... Me, I'm basically taking everything apart and then fixing what the mechanics stripped, cracked, scratched and lost...Yeah, they determined the leak was coming from the breather…. I hope they put everything back together correctly.
My thinking exactly DIY and know it is done right and with care. Mechanics don't have a 'Dog in that fight' and just do a job ... some very well .. some not so much .. just y 2¢You go ahead and "hope"... I was pissed after they replaced my headlight.. I was missing three $8 screws and two clips...

4. Replaced all hardware that was easily accessible and within reach at the time of work performed.I just read through the service report, here are the highlights.
- Removed L/R Battery covers, throttle body covers and airbox covers and confirmed leak coming from breather.
- Removed L/R throttle bodys, air filter, seperated air box from bracket and engine.
- Inspected breather valve, covered in oil, small hole present in exterior rubber. BMW approved replacement and running of bike w/o covers to confirm fix. Performed extended test ride to confirm leak no longer present.
Maybe you need a new dealer?4. Replaced all hardware that was easily accessible and within reach at the time of work performed.
Yeah.. I'll discuss my findings with the manager, the next time my bike is back in their shop. I've had similar experiences with my wife's Jeep..Maybe you need a new dealer?
My 2024 Roctane transmission breather leaked oil after changing to 75w90 for first 600 mi service...Only after changing oil back to stock 70w80 oil did it stop leaking...Well F..k F..k F..k !!!!! That little Breather thing is real easy it just has a barb and plugs in there .. the trouble is it is under the ducting system for the air intake!!!! I now have the whole top of the bike removed and can see it well . It is very wet around it, so I am pretty sure this is the culprit ... but now I have to figure out how to lift the air intake up to get to it ... and it seems to be one huge piece with the rubber connectors to the cylinders permanently crimped on it .. anybody has any ideas? I was thinking taking out the 4 screws that hold it and the 3 screws on each cylinder so I can hopefully lift it up enough to change that thing ... anybody done that? Any suggestions are welcome.
