R18 BROKEN FORK KEY FOB/FORK KEY REPLACE R18 WHERE AND $$

I ordered a replacement key bit for my R18 fob on Saturday the 8th. It arrived at MAX today, Tuesday the 11th. It does seem the keys get some priority, excellent delivery time. Went over and picked it up, all set.

Hi, sorry to revive an old post. Could you please tell me how much it costed for the repair/replacement key from bmw? I broke mine the same way as you did.

My 2021 R18 Classic came with that part, #7, extra in with my owners manual. metal, already cut to match the original.

Update: I removed the battery from the fob, and put in a Ziploc bag and then left in a freezer for 20min. Then sprayed a little WD-40 just on the broken key part and used a pair of tweezers and was able to get it out.

I got this bike used and I only got the main fob and the plastic key. No spare metal key.

I may have to order it through a dealer, and get it cut at a local locksmith.
