opinions on adding a bluetooth speaker

It should be able to be mounted given the custom adapters, but I see 2 potential issues with it.

1) It’s rather large and could block the speedometer from view. The example on Revzilla has a tank mounted speedo, so it might be better suited to those style bikes.
2) For the money, a headset in the helmet likely will be cheaper and better sound quality as the speakers are on your ears vs fighting wind et al.
I totally agree with the helmet kit; besides, wouldn't the external speaker system take away from the classic look of the FE?
 
Thx for the post. The "BMW" speaker looks exactly like the Kuryakyn "Road THunder". The Kuryakyn is a couple of hundred dollars less. I hooked up the Kuryakyn to a battery yesterday and played it a little. It really rocked! great volume! Company who makes Kuryakyn speakers is MTX. I wouldn't be surprised if MTX makes the BMW OEM speakers for BMW also.
