Does anyone know if the fenders are swappable between R18 models. I'm interested in replacing my Classic front and rear fenders with a front fender from a Transcontinental and a rear fender from a Bagger (non speaker sidecases). Will these just bolt up without modification? I feel fairly confident about the rear. The front fender is what I'm concerned about, as the Classic has a chunkier front tire (130/90-16) versus the Transcontinental's slimmer front tire (120/70-19). Appreciate any input.

Hmm, then I may need to pivot to source a roctane rear end instead. There has to be a way to mount a full fender and hard bags on a Classic.

Hi Majunior. I did on my 2023 R18 Classic . I swapped front and rear fenders, both with R18 B model.

The front fender is easy to swap. And no needs modifications, even if the Classic has a chunkier front tire (130/90-16).

The rear fender is more delicated to swap. I had to :
1/ Replace the Classic subframe for the B version. And drill 4 new mounting points for the 2 Classic saddlebags.
2/ Drill 4 holes in the B rear fender (also for the saddlebag mounts)
3/ Replace the Classic license plate support for the B version. And make an specific bracket to mount the license plate, lights, and rear indicators.
4/ Plus extend the wiring harness.

Awesome swap, two questions:

1. Where did you source your fenders from?

2. Do you have any photos from the side or front?

if you go with Roctane rear fender, do you think you need to change the rear frame?

Pretty confident the answer is yes. Roctane, Bagger, and Transcontinental have a different subframe than the standar or Classic R18s

I feel strongly the Classic should have come with full fenders and this confirms it. Gorgeous bike!

I think the base R18 should have come with a valanced pin striped one too so went that way.

The classic front tyre has the same circumferance and the fork is the same too so I wages the fenders should fit.

Hi,

I am also in the process of swapping the rear fender on my pure, I will do the same mod on the indicators as you shown in the photos. Can you please share on how you extend the harness to reach the new lights position? TIA
