I finally completed the fender swap!

New R18B Fender
New R18B Rear frame
New Bobber rear lights and harness
New Roctane license plate light

While a DK fender would have been more budget-friendly, I dislike the feel of plastic. Ultimately, I'm happy with this choice as it achieved the specific look I envisioned.

This looks great! Any modifications required or did everything bolt on straightforwardly?

Have you entertained the idea of an alternative heritage mudguard / fender with flare for the front ( full size replacing current small one ) ?

I am looking forward to when the R20 is released and it looks like that😉.
I was told by my dealership that they discontinued the R18 because Euro 6, 7, 8… will make it too hard unless they make them water cooled. As we can see by Erico’s machine, it would totally ruin the lines.

Yes, maybe R18B fender in the future
I sourced a METAL front heritage guard with lower flare about 3 years ago from a fabricator in one of the Baltic states ( Lithuania or Estonia ). He was advertising on eBay . Don’t know whether or not he is still hand producing them ( rolled aluminium ). Hand painted stripes.

Fellow Aussie, KB, please post a pic of your machine as this is appropriate for this discussion.

Click on his user name.... then his messages total no.... then you can see all his posts.... about 7 down you'll see a picture of his bike on a recent ride.... happy fishing.

Before you spend a lot of money, try this for your front. I love mine. Just the benefit of keeping the front of the engine clean is worth it. I think it was $9 from AliExpress.

This is exactly what I did, must admit I didn’t want to drill holes in the mudguard/fender but with careful measurements it went on perfectly and it looks good, I bought a spare fender extender so that I have a direct replacement should it get damaged

Are the subframes for the fenders different between the R18 B and R18?
