I purchased two of them. The first one was from eBay and looked nice but wasn’t attached very securely(anyone who wants it can have it for shipping cost). Then I purchased the one from Wunderlich and its design is much better. They look cool and do make it easier to engage. However, you are correct they are so rarely used and not necessary. I would say it’s more for looks and gadget deprived guys. You can see the eBay one in the first picture and the Wunderlich one in second picture.IMG_2881.webpIMG_1207.webp

I don't use reverse much and when I did I'd fumble around for the lever.... of I looked down I could not see it.... rather anoying. Fitted a wunderlich one and all is good in the world. Look down and "there it is"

I installed one because the only time I used the reverse was getting out of the wheel chock on my lift table. I found it was difficult to find the lever on the lift table and leaning over to find the lever challenge.

I use reverse assist all the time. My helmet would hit the windshield of my bagger whenever I reached down for the reverse lever. The extension makes it easier to reach. If you have the lighter r18 model with no fairing then maybe you don't need the extension. I also learned the reverse assist lever on the bagger and tc are bigger than the other models.

Hmmm!
Maybe I should get one. I’m guessing that no-one has experienced the extension rattling/vibrating?
I note that one person found the Chinese made extender wasn’t the best fit but has anyone else found this?
Thanks.

I have one for more than 3 years.
The first one broke.
The second one is fine.
Both cheap chinese stuff.
No vibration.
I'm using the reverse each time I ride, to get out of the stand.
Very practical and useful Item.
One can manipulate it without leaning or even looking at it.

I have the wunderlich one too. Love it must have since I have to back out every time I leave home.

I use reverse a reasonable amount but never felt I would benefit from this mod’. I find the lever easy to locate and to operate.
