In order to achieve the custom look I am envisioning... I want a metallic bronze finish on some parts of the R18.

Anyone know if parts of the engine casing can be bronze plated? Or would I be better off going with a bronze metallic paint powder coating? Specifically the covers under each 1800 emblem.

Bronze plating aluminum is likely a no go.
But the engine case doesn’t get that hot so a good powder coat job would probably be pretty durable.

Thanks for that --I may cast the 1800 plaque in bronze. Simple enough doing a mold and lost wax.

I experienced a "chrome" powder coating on a rack for my R1200C Montauk.
Looks very hard and durable.1000052891.jpg
