My service shop manager called me out for the re-installed DC cables to restore the Reverse functionality on my FE Bobber Project bike this weekend; he claimed the DC cables were super hot and it could have caused a fire

, I pushed back and explained that "that's not how that circuit works...", he jumped to another customer before I could explain Ohm's Law to him and his fear mongering...
He also mentioned that I'm basically unethical for posting any of the service techniques on the forum; I'm guessing, he or his staff participate within the forums from time-to-time...
I'll have to consider making better choices going forward, especially in regards to having my bike serviced... The comments probably wouldn't have bothered me, if they were remotely accurate vs a "know it all" making baseless statements.
For someone without a full blown service shop book, and proprietary BMW tools, specifically designed for the R18 platform - I feel like I'm doing OK, and definitely think I have the skill set to tackle 90% of the annual Maintenance required to see 100k miles on this bike..
In short, yesterday's comments were pretty disappointing and are a good measuring stick for those on the fence to invest in a GS-911 HEX tool and a Fluke Volt - Ohm meter...
