I concur the Tom Hurley seat is great option from the comfort (it is perfectly suitable for long trips unlike the stock seat) and style point of view. Also, it is the only option (at my opinion) for tall pure/classic riders, as all other options push rider at least 1.5 inches forward and this...
I ride R18 FE (or the "Pure" version as some call it), so as you're considering changing to TC from Bobber version, my experience may be relevant.
I took TC for a weekend over the summer and rode about 400 miles. I like my R18 and wanted to see if the TC version can offer anything extra. The...
I mostly agree with this opinion. In terms of styling, Day Rider is a significant improvement. Vibrations are also better. But in terms of comfort over long distances - the improvement is not so great. The biggest issue with the stock seat for me is the bmw plastic badge which causes...
It's very hard to tell what the problem is, but I would be very surprised if the vibration was caused by new tires. In my opinion, this is extremely unlikely. I would first check if the wheels are properly balanced. These are spoked wheels and need to be carefully balanced.
This is a good point. The HD forums are a bit like a cult. You cannot make mistakes. This forum is much more civilized, almost white collar). The R18 is an outstanding bike, and the same goes for riders in my opinion.
A new addition via the SW Motech adapter, the 38 liter aluminum box from Bagtecs. High quality and only £250 including the cost of the adapter. This SW Motech system, chosen by BMW, coupled with universal adapters from SW motech, is a very versatile and economical solution that makes it easy to...
Re Japanese bikes, I own Honda Fury for 12+ years since new and not gonna sell it. Upgraded it with SUMO fat tire kit, which doubled the bike's cost :) One of the best bikes for tall riders but agree its engine is boring.
MotoGuzzi produces very nice bikes, but they are small ergonomically unfortunately. I am 6"3, and found them too small for me although I liked the style a lot. From the Triumph range only scrambler 1200 xe/xc is a good fit, so I am considering buying it as a lightweight option for off road...
I remember I was quoted gbp 250 + oil + taxes with 1 month waiting time at official dealership. I found online a very nice bmw licensed garage nearby that did the job for 200, including cost of oil and taxes, 3 business days after booking
The silicone seal really worked. To be 110% accurate, I also waxed the bag as suggested by the manufacturer. Anyway, the bag is as dry as an alcoholic's throat after a heavy rain, so the problem is solved.
Hi! Welcome! The fact that you joined the forum 6 months after you bought the bike is an indication you appreciate it :) which region are you in in Italy?
