No tailbone pain to speak of when I'm riding. Its does push you closer to the tank but for me I'm still very comfortable. I'm a shorter rider at 5'7 so it pushing me closer to the tank and bars help. Taller riders might have a different opinion on it, but it is a top notch product for me.
