Hi, When I put my bike away last winter, I put the cover sheet on while the headers were hot. It left some cotton/poly blend residue smudged on the header. Should I try to remove it or just burn it off on a long ride? Any suggestions on how to remove it without damaging the chrome?

I used wax/polish with a circular electric buffer to remove rust spots successfully. Just takes some time and elbow grease to get rid of the spots. Your mileage may vary.

The tricky part is that the LinBus is designed to ride on top of electrical power like a 12V power line..... So you would have to look at the pin with an o-scope. I have not done this yet for these 4 wires. My goal was to use an extra instrument gauge from the R18 as a clock. I need to know the...

T@eknolojay has pointed out a press release that says the instrument cluster on the R18 run on LinBus. Anyone have any more details on the 4 wires to the speedometer instrument (yellow, brown, blue with purple stripe, red with green stripe). Any details on the LinBus data packets and codes...

Here are the four wires going to my R18 instrument. Purple with purple stripe, red with green stripe, yellow, brown. I believe that the data is sent to the instrument using the LINbus protocol. I am guessing there is not a dedicated tachometer wire.
