Not at all... the rack hovers above the tank by about 1" so no risk of rubbing on paint either. I can slide my fingers under it no problem.

Follow up on installation: The install was easy as you might imagine just by looking at it - 3 screws. The bend tolerance and length of the two tube prongs at the top are slightly off, maybe less of a bend on one prong shortens the over all length by 5mm but not enough to cause any hassle on...
