Super nice n sturdy gas tank rack / protector

Got this gas tank rack / protector today.

Exceptionally well made --solid, not hollow tubes... adds function x2:

1) as a somewhat protection against drop of things on it.
2) as a rack to bungee cord tie down objects onto.

Plus...

3) Looks! - I like the look and it will match the black back fender rack where I took off the passenger seat.

Follow up on installation:

The install was easy as you might imagine just by looking at it - 3 screws. The bend tolerance and length of the two tube prongs at the top are slightly off, maybe less of a bend on one prong shortens the over all length by 5mm but not enough to cause any hassle on install nor even noticeable.

However major caveat... The 3 screws supplied are cheap Chyna crap with grossly sloppy/off tolerances. See pics.

You will need to buy proper (standard) metric screws:

2 of the M6x40 for the 2 front section prongs and
1 of the M5x45 for rear of tank (hovers over the chrome piece)

Pops right on, easy peasy.

Crap tolerances of supplied screws Never heard of M4.81 or M5.86
Maybe it's a Chyna thing.

Been eyeballing these as well .. but am thinking it would be a pain to clean the gas tank under all that rack ?

Not at all... the rack hovers above the tank by about 1" so no risk of rubbing on paint either.
I can slide my fingers under it no problem.

Finished pics. Black screws would have looked better but the hardware store didn't have them and I didn't feel like waiting on an order. Maybe I'll swap them out tho...
