BMW have just agreed to replace my rims, due to corrosion. I expected a bit of a tussle however, all was quick and easy. Wishing you some success one way or another.
I was on the motorway with two friends on their GS type bikes. They were been blown round a bit in the cross wind and couldn’t believe I was quite comfortable with one handed riding. The bike was rock solid.
I didn’t pay anything like the price in the pic, but it was pretty pricey. If it had been made in Austria, Japan or USA, all of which are famous for working with Cordovan (Horse) leather I would have been over the moon.
Wow. Very nice. I bought the BMW Pure Boxer. Really nice leather but disappointed to see it was made in Vietnam and the stunning looking interior is not that hard wearing.
I suspect those are in extremes. If the bike is not kept outside and the exhaust is first of all prepped with a high temperature silicone, it should be OK. The original purpose of wrapping manifolds was to keep the exhaust gases hot until they had escaped. I would be surprised Olof temperature...
