2024 Roctane
In this world of AI half-answers, I’m hoping to find definitive facts (please) from human beings. Ideally someone with a Roctane that put on BMWs accessory beach bars.
Does the BMW beach bar fit in the bar clamp of the Roctane (spline issues?)
Does the BMW beach bar require a new wiring harness or is the longer one already on the Roctane adequate?
I know it needs new brake lines and that’s fine.
Anything else I should know?
Just got the bike and the reach is just too far.
Thanks!

I don't have specific ROCTANE experience; however, I did install the BMW beachbar handlebars on a First Edition as a Bobber Project.

The following is what I experienced:

The handlebars don't come milled out in order to run the wiring harness(s) through them, but can easily be drilled out and can accommodate the wire harness within the inside diameter. I drilled out the bars, as I wanted a clean finished look of only the brake and clutch hydraulic cables in view.

I had ordered the longer brake and clutch hydraulic cables

I order the two wiring harness sets required to support heated grips to each of the grips; I didn't pull the existing wiring from the existing handlebars. NOTE: I went w/ new as I felt that I would probably damage the existing cables if I tried to remove them, and then reinstall them into the beachbars.

The unknown: I'm not sure about the fit of the beachbars within the existing ROCTANE steering "clamp"; my gut feeling, is that it's a 1:1 replacement...

Measure your existing bar diameter, and have a forum member measure a R18 F/E as a side by side comparison..

@BER18 100 - Byron, can you help out @RocPete and measure the diameter of those F/E bars, in the center where it is mechanically clamped?
Thanks guys,
The Roctane wires are tied to the hydraulic lines not inside the bars, I’m not looking to tuck them into the bars, I just need the install to work.
