New Windshield for R-18b/t

Tristan at 7Jurock is very diligent. Solid product. 8k miles with my short w/flip windshield and no scratches.
 
I like the Jurock shield. Have the 18” light smoke version on my R18 anniversary edition.
Combine that with Memphis Shades fork deflectors ($95) and you get zero turbulence and zero buffeting.
The ride is similar to my recent HD Road Glide.

My Jurock arrived finally in New Zealand, Tristan also sent two, a clear and a blue which matches the bike. It is brilliant and I can finally enjoy a ride at speeds over 80kmh in any conditions. Mine have the curved top top lip top direct the wind to the top of my helmet and has the flattish top. I think rounded or radiused corners might look better but I'm just enjoying the massive difference for now.

I tried a clip on deflector, but they are not the solution for me. When properly adjusted, I’m looking through the clip-on, which I hate, and I’m not a fan of the look.

Anyone know where 7Jurock measures from to get their measurements?

Is it from the headlight opening to the top or from the very bottom edge to the top?
 
Just dbl-checked and I see this: "Height is measured in a straight line, from the bottom center point to the top of the windshield. Width is measured at the widest point around the front, following the curvature of the windshield."

I think that means the headlight opening.

I ordered a set of these. Will report back when I install them. There's several versions of them on Ebay. They're cheap enough for me to give them a try to see if they actually do what I think they will do. My first ride on my B was a 200 mile ride back at 85-90 mph and it was brutal. I was experimenting as I was riding as to where the wind was coming and for me, it was not so much the top, but the sides of the fairing that were producing the most wind and it was hitting me shoulder and torso height. The faster I went, the worse it got. I'm obviously not the first to notice this as my first search on the intra webs yielded several versions of these.

FYI…..having owned a Transcontinental in spring 2022, that bike has the best wind management system of any production motorcycle ever made. Better than an HD RoadGlide.
Not true for the bagger.

As for the R18…..I mounted a classic windshield bracket with Jurock 18” and fork deflectors from Memphis Shades.
This is the best wind management system you can find on a cruiser.

Soooo, I got these today and I have to say the quality and thickness of the material is impressive. I was worried that they were going to be too thin to withstand the force of the wind coming in through the sides of the fairing. I'm glad to report they worked flawlessly and took care of the buffeting and the beating up of the sides of my torso. I wasn't having to hold on for dear life because of the same winds that were beating me up were also pushing me back so check that box. I went on a short 10 mile interstate ride 75-80 MPH and for the first time I did not feel beat up on this bike. Well worth the few bucks I paid for these. I still have a bit of buffeting on my helmet/face if I flip the shield up, but with it down, it's not too bad. The air is still hitting me square in the top part of my head and helmet. Waiting for the taller shield to arrive see if that fixes that issue.

The Transcontinental windshield will take the wind above your helmet.

Maybe - depending on the length of your torso. On my bike it hits me right in the middle of my forehead - drove me crazy. I'm not that tall either , around 5'11". Made a few mods that helps. Vents in the windscreen helped and now I made some wedge spacers that tilt the windscreen slightly higher. Waiting to try these out.

I have those on my B and they made some difference. The air coming off the cylinders is a big issue and am thinking of getting the Memphis Shades lowers. I put a large Powerbronze windshield which is huge but works.

I have these coming in next. They're supposed to be duplicates of the TC leg fairings. I'll report on them as soon as I install them. I believe I'm to receive them tomorrow so hopefully by the weekend.
