Seems like this general topic deserves it's own thread since having the diagram would help folks plan for a multitude of electronics related applications. I've seen some older posts requesting wiring diagrams as part of a project and I would definitely like to see them, too.

I've searched high and low, but still haven't been able to locate a wiring diagram for this bike. It must exist somewhere. Are there no people here in the industry that can access them? If someone finds them, please post them here.

Cheers!

Is there a particular electrical system that you are looking for; I can't find a diagram of schematic, mostly wire routing and connection illustrations..

If you just google wiring diagram, you’ll probably find a good example. E.g. here’s one for a cbr250r:

It’s a mess, but it shows what connects to what *electrically*. Say one wants to see what information is running around on the CANbus. They could plug into the appropriate pins in the OBD port (usually pins 4 and 16), and see what’s available as a start. But that may only provide access to some sub system information and the project owner may need to tap in somewhere else. I may take a look at what’s flowing on the OBD port in the near future just for fun, but don’t have an immediate need for it.

I do think others on the forum have had interesting projects and that they would benefit greatly from the wiring diagram instead of just diving in blind. Sounds like the taillight has been oddly tricky to modify per some posts and those folks will likely benefit from a diagram.

Hi,

Did you managed to get your hands on the electrical diagram??

although I managed to run the 2nd Headlight on my bike, I only did a duplication of the wiring for the plug, I did Not get to find out which color wiring is DRL, side-turning lights, High beam, dipped beam. But the Brown cable on the whole bike is the Negative/Ground.

Like you mentioned, I also hope to be able to add a rear tail-light to the bike and an additional light source for front DRL.

Why didn't you Google the R18 and provide an example of an R18 vs a Honda CBR250R...?

I'm not sure if the below helps, the below image is what I tested and inventoried during my bobber project:

Nope, I haven't found it yet but will be sure to post it here if I do.

Hmm 🤔...it seems relatively straightforward to me. The wiring diagram for the R18 is not out on the web as far as I can tell, so I chose to show you a wiring diagram for another make and model as an example. That way, you have a rough idea of what is being looked for.

And yes, I think that is a helpful diagram. It appears to be a small subset of the R18's complete wiring diagram, but it should help folks identify the relevant wires for lighting applications at least.

Is any one in here which is able to give me a hand with a photo maybe from where I can connect my ACC wire for my fog lights?! Please!

Under windscreen is the prewired plug for the fog lights for the T/C. This is what I used to connect the lights on my R18B and you can switch the light off/on with the bottom half of the MODE button. With the GS911 you can enable the icon to light up to show you on the TFT when the fog lights are on

The connector that was plugged into the red circled holder is for the fog lights. The 2 circled blue connectors are for each of the front signal lights

It seems like such an odd thing for BMW to not make wiring diagrams widely available. It makes me look at the company in a way I don't want to. The product is outstanding quality.

Sorry Mike but I think you all ready know, we are on "subscription mode" to everything! Yo can not even buy something and have it for ever, you can see it every where around you Microsoft, diagnose tools... car industry, I think you know about issue with farm owners have with JohnDeer not giving any updates on there products after pass warranty and you can not fix anything on that tractor with out been taken to a dealer even if is miles away! I hope it was been regulated some how by the government this issue.
