R18 FE
Pulled up behind a Boss Hog with the optional big block 610 CI motor ( not the regular 350 CI ). Also had a nitrous bottle. 2011 model year. The tag lied - only 9996 cc.IMG_5168.jpegIMG_5167.jpegIMG_5166.jpeg

Owner stated it was akin to a Semi ( truck ) when attempting a U turn. We ( R18 ) have nothing to complain about regarding future attempted U turns.

Boss Hog / Boss Hogg / Boss Hoss - depends on market sold in.

I don't have enough friends to help pick that back up.... one of the nicest looking ones I've seen (mostly surfing bikesales).

Bristol Hercules Radial engine, only the barrel, piston & sleeve valve are
from the original engine, the rest was made at home.
The second is a 2.2 litre 5 cylinder radial.

Dumbest “motorcycle” I’ve ever seen.
My buddy had one years ago. All it was good for was attracting gawkers.

Over here where I live there are wonderful roads which have the centre of the road marked by the dotted line but it is recognised that it is nigh impossible to respect that through the twisties so the road signs read ´road centre marking for reference puropses only´.
The vast mayority has no centre line so go figure. They are only just two EU size cars wide, not even two EU size car parking spots wide. Now imagine a Boss H here :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

That observed they are a surprisingly serious motorcycle brand. They have been around for 35 years and sold maybe as many as 10.000 in other words some 7 million kilos of them  and the brand is very much alive and kicking.
Do visit their site as it has some gems; ´its race-bike inspired weight distribution formula makes every ounce of the Boss Hoss work together for smoother, more controlled tracking of curves and city streets´

I really doubt that 10,000 number is even close to accurate. But to each his own.
There is a saying in my industry, “There’s an ass for every seat.”

20 years ago it was supposedly over 4k, but does it matter?
Point is that after 35 years they are still building and selling the things. Quite a feat and I think nóbody would have thought that back then.

….

In the 10 minute “ chat window ” , 2 people asked if they could photograph the bike.
And no one ran to the Boss Hog website to order one up.
It’s a curiosity not a motorcycle with a high degree of functionality.

True.
But then the basic R18 is a retro homage with the most limited functionality of the BMW range ;)
Perhaps but retro is the key word.
There is nothing really attractive about the Boss Hog. The R18 is literally sculpture in comparison.

haha.... I can think of many more limited BMW bikes.... starting with anything electric.... then r9t racer.... then.....

Just pulling your legs of course.
The R9T racer was at the same time not enough and too much.
The electrics, well, don´t agree there. Point is they must be seen as metripolitan area only. Overe here at the Costa del Sol the CE04 is quite practical.
The Boss Hoss has the same function as the überlarge pick up trucks used for shopping and school run only. Both are pretty much blocked by the infrastructure dimensions over here.
