Smart HJC 21b or 50B

I'm looking for experience with the Sena based Smart HJC 21B or 50B. My wife and I both have HJC i91 modular helmets and these are the choices we have for comms if we use what is available for the built in options. We don't ride with big groups, so connecting to multiple other riders is not a concern. I do want to be able to connect to my bike (2022 R18B) and to my wife's headset. Any experience with these systems would be appreciated.

I don't have the HJC module but I do have the Sena 50S now for about 4 years and it has been flawless and a big change from the 20S I had before. Longer range in mesh, better sound quality and longer battery life. Connection with the 18B is no effort and almost instantly. So if I had to choose I would go for the 50B instead of the 21B.

That's great to know. So when you connect everything, do you connect your phone to the bike and the bike to the Sena? I'm thinking the 50B would be the way to go for my helmet, and possibly get the 21B for my wife since it's less expensive and she would only need to connect to my helmet and her phone. I don't listen to music when I ride, so I just need comms and a connection for phone calls and GPS directions. Also, I have no interest in riding with large groups, so the mesh option is not important at all to me.

You pair the Sena and phone to the bike, and the bike does the rest.
