Small bubble at the hearder pipe

There's no way corrosion could create aligned bubbles.
100 % sure it's melted textile.
Look at your trouser, your cover, your jacket ....
I burnt one of my jacket at the same place when hanging it on the bar.

Been there done that.

  • Spray Easy Off (the no fumes version) while pipe is cold. Cover all other surfaces with those blue mech towels.
  • Wait 4 minutes. Remove blue towels.
  • Turn bike on 3-4 minutes
  • Scrape off with a wooden spatula (assault on wife’s kitchen tools)
  • Clean off with WD-40 and blue towels. Do not use microfiber cloths!!

After you clean it off, you may notice some spots left. You may have to repeat the process.

Make sure pipes are cold. I would try some simichrome, comes in a tube. It will take pretty much anything off without dulling the finish. If the chrome itself is bubbling, and it's between the pipe itself and the chome overlay, that's a different story. That might be from a very hot pipe coming in contact with something very cold. If the chrome itself is bubbling or flaking, check with the dealer if the warranty is still in effect. Otherwise that pipe has to come off and sent to be re chromed.

Good luck.
