Hey folks...
Im ready to buy a seat I can actually sit on for more than 45 mins at a time..lol
I have always liked Corbin but for some bikes I didnt like their seating position or set up but I find their seats themselves comfortable to me.
Mustang, when you buy directly from them they offer a 30 money back guarantee if you dont like the seat simply return it.
BMW wont do that and you cant buy these seats from Mustang directly otherwise it would be a no brainer.

There are no bikes local to me with the same seats to try them.
Im leaning towards Corbin but what do you guys think.
I know seat comfort is very subjective.

My bike is a 100 yr edition.

Thanks

I have Corbin Solo and its really comfortable for a long rides. Depending on your height you can ask em to make it higher or lower. I'm 6'4" and benefit from a bit higher position...

I must have a lead ass. I did a 6 hour ride last week and my butt felt fine. My hips and knees on the other hand…..

Could be that I’m only 5’6” so I’m sitting more on the center of seat and not back as far as you big boys are.

Would you say the Corbin sits you back a little further than stock, about the same, or closer to the bars?

I have a Corbin solo seat and it makes all the difference! I sent it back to have about an inch to an inch and a half shaved off of the nose and thigh area. I have shorter legs and it was painful for my nads and my thighs when at a stop. They will alter them for free one time as long as you pay the freight. I love mine! You can tell them up front if you want it back some or up some and they will comply.

on the Corbin site, there is no r18b designation, I'm assuming if I order for r18tc that the seat is the same??
I did request info from Corbin a week or so ago and have not heard back from them.

I have the naked 22 r18 and the stock seat is narrow and hard it was causing much pain after 40 miles, I threw a small airhawk pad with just a little air in it and I am good for 120 miles with no pain, my rear gets tired of sitting but I expect that. Since I had a back fusion in 2006, no pain is saying alot and the airhawk was less than $80

I would think if you go to BMW's site and look at seats that will be spelled out, or just call the dealer and ask.
I am not sure on the bagger and TC.

Airhawks are a good accessory to any seat. I had a similar experience, the stock seat on my Classic was good for ~45 minutes. I switched to a Weekender & that alone is fine for a few hours. When I add my Airhawk on that, I can be stuck on the highway for hours at a go and have no issues.

I have a like new Corbin classic solo heated, backrest and pillion seat for sale. Its a very nice well made seat that is comfortable and looks good. I wished it fit my R18 Bagger that I traded my classic in on.

CharlieMac, what price are you asking and where are you located please? Ahhh, disregard please. I found your other post from Nov last year and I see you are in the USA. I am across the border in Canada and by the time I pay Canada's socialist government taxes, duties, import fees, freight forwarding fees, etcetera, I could buy another motorcycle. Good luck.

Hey all,
I bought Charlie's Corbin and its a great seat.
The red stock seat may be prettier but if I want to ride for longer than 45 mins something like the Corbin is a must.
Thanks Charlie!
