Hi y'all!
I have an 2" long scratch on my fender and a minor 1" scratch on the headlight cowl/ring, which were caused by a falling object 😿

Do you have a good recommendation on how to remove these? I have heard of rubbing compounds that may be useful. However, I have no experience in these matters.

Thx in advance 🙏🏽

You could try a chrome cleaner on soft clean rag but if the surface is damaged I doubt you can do anything, and regarding the fender, same really. That looks like satin finish, very difficult to remove marks because you will polish a shiny glaze around the mark even if you can ‘remove it’. 😬.

I am with Rufus here. Normally you can use rubbing compound if the scratches are superficial.
I had light scratches on my car front bumper as a result of small pebbles hitting the car whilst in the motorway (lorry on front of me ditching them, no f*cks given)

Some of them were removed with T-Cut but others were a bit too deep, i.e, my finger nails will stop if I ran the finger over it. In the end, an auto repair company came over and re sprayed them whilst the car was parked at home and a beautiful job they did.
Matt/sating paint is a different story, therefore I would recommend one of those mobile repair companies to match the colour and re-spray. It should not be that expensive.
Good luck.

Thank you all.

Someone at the dealership told me I could try using a Paint Pen from ColorRite. I might look into it also.

Again, thanks for the tips 🙏🏽
