I must be getting old or inflation is kicking in else, of course, it is cause it is a BMW. Though man, the cost now days to add stuff to a bike just seems crazy. At any rate, suggestion for a rear rack anyone would recommend please. I would like to be able to still connect some bmw soft bags down the road if I find a pair used (or other such thing bags) using the stock screw holes on the fender so would like a rear rack to accommodate that purpose. Course if the rack came with a passenager back pad that is ok as well though realize probably few if any could come in brown color for the pad.

I know at the bmwra rally the wunderlich dealer is near by and normally offers a 10% discount coupon to attendees if I recall from past years.

I have the Wunderlich rack where the pillion would go on my Classic. Like all Wunderlich stuff, it is exceptionally engineered and good quality. I've no concerns about carrying a decent amount of weight on it. There are some cheaper options out there (I've seen some use one meant for the Triumph Speedmaster), but when I looked at them, they seemed quite thin and I'd be concerned about putting anything more than a tiny bag on it.
