Does anyone know how the TC’s lower deflectors just above the cylinder heads can be removed?

this image on A&S site shows an exploded view, looks like the front piece is first, but i haven't found the right spot to squeeze yet.

Thanks for that. I just wanted to remove them for easier cleaning of the bike, as I rode 2 hours in rain and mud. Needless to say I spent most of the day trying to clean it all up. But that exploded view looks like more trouble than it’s worth.
