Went early pension to Andalucía with 44 and a 10 years younger Dutch girl.
A wonderfully satisfying liberal love life later our son is now 24 and finishing his engineer degree.
Still very good friends but gone different ways.
Whether the sexy latina is reliable or durable is pretty much irrelevant for me; I am carping the dia 😉 If she is still about when I have the R18 rig finished she will be the nude modelling it.
Yesterday rode, read blitzed, back the Vespa PX125 a friend bought. No lane splitting as there simply is not enough traffic for that here.
And sidecars.... socially they are something weird; attracting female attention in a BIG way.
We should be speaking the same language as my great grandmother was from Patagonia and from all accounts, Spanish is the most prominent language there.

they programmed the ECU to change air/fuel ratios for modifications.
The air/fuel tables of the motor management system have about 20-25% spread which is about normal. The crucial factor is that R18 has wide band O2 sensors. This is effect creates an ´autotune´ adjusting the air/fuel to within factory specs. after modifications to intake and/or exhaust.
Tuning the R18 for more oompf is as simple as improving the flow. That observed, the cats in the exhaust are a major limit. They are quite free flowing though; not the first, even second or third to go for.

As for more sound, the first thing to do is to remove the exhaust flap servos. Cheap and simple. Cheapest and simplest is disconnecting the actuating cables, better is replacing the lot with a module giving the CPU the expected feed back.

As more air in result is a bigger bang, it also results in more exhaust note. Again simple and not expensive. Here you have twó mods actually gives more powah and not just more noise. And the ´autotune´ sorts the mixture for you.

The recent thread about replacing the font engine cover has a perfect illustration of THÉ bottle neck of R18 flow.

Don´t use food services and am usually not aware in which language I am. Often have three different language pages up in my laptop and books. Not confused. More enlightened yes.
Now you’ve taken away everything in my joke. Aussies obviously have a very different sense of humour…
Thank goodness everyone here rides an R18 as the common denominator.
Stay bR18t.

I don't have it yet, but probably this one.

I had Freedom Performance 4.5 exhausts installed (in black w/ silver tip ends) I had the servos removed completely --as well as a BT Moto Tune. Definitely felt a power increase. Great deep throaty rumble on acceleration but with no acceleration is where it's nearly no different sounding than the stock. I'm calling to see if there's a mod I can do.

Pull the baffles out...that's what I did. You have to remove the tip ends first and then you can remove the baffles.

Talked to the tech guy at freedomperformexhaust.com, turns out it's a fairly simple unscrewing of both end cap and baffles.

The downside is it's a trade off. By removing the baffles one "will lose some low end torque but it will be louder."

@moleculo did you experience significant or noticeable loss of torque?

The end caps were difficult to get off due to a very tight fit. I had to use a rubber mallet and plastic make-shift punch to tap them off. But I managed to do it. Once that is done, the baffles came right out. I knew that the potential would be some low-end torque loss due to decreased back pressure, but the Bren Tune seemed to compensate for it pretty quickly. I'm very happy.

Ok and for those that come after here's a video FP just sent me. Different bike/exhaust but same concept to remove the end caps etc.

Ah... so the Bren tune can automatically detect and calculate the nec. low end torque missing and compensate. Thats pretty cool. Makes me more inclined to try it
