R18 T Bar Set Up

Hi Everyone,

I'm starting to research into putting aftermarket T bars on my Roctane but had a question regarding the bars itself where the controls mount up to. By chance does someone know of a TBar that has all the correct holes drilled out for our bikes?

I'm thinking of buying a renthal bar and doing the drilling myself but wanted to check if someone has already done the homework on this. I would be mounting this on some aftermarket risers that work with our bikes.

Good luck with your endeavor. I think you will find it to be more challenging than it should have to be. Not impossible by any means but my hope is that after all that effort you will have accomplished the look and feel you set out to achieve. If you have not already disassembled your current handlebars and measured everything maybe you will change your mind once you see what all is involved in making this work.

I originally looked at going with the FCR bars, prior to selecting the OEM Beachbars; below are the instructions for the FCR bars, which requires drilling the holes which align the ergonomics of the controls:



• Protect the handlebars to avoid damage during reassembly
• Install the clamps without tightening them
• Slide the controls onto the handlebars
• Secure the handlebars with the clamps
For drilling, adjust the orientation of the holes according to the knobs' pins
• Drill a Ø3.5mm hole (to insert the screw to secure the controls on the left side)
• Drill a Ø3.5mm hole (to insert the screw to secure the controls on the right side)
• Route the cables through the handlebars (through the oblong holes and out through the central hole)
• Secure the handlebars with the clamps
• Install the controls

Thanks for the info star Lord! Really expensive for what you get, I ended up finding another kit from wunderlich that's a bit more complete that I'll likely move forward with.

I don't want on using the riser pieces that come with it, just everything else

The Wunderlich bars do not fit the factory risers. The hydralic lines will be too short with any risers longer than the ones in the kit. Also the wiring does not run internally. I used all the pieces in the kit and it works/looks great. Just remember the hydralic lines have adjustable rotation. Make sure you read the hydralic lines' directions. You also have to drill the 3.5mm holes to set the controls.
