R18 Machined Accessories

I was planning on ordering most of the Roland Sand machined accessories from BMW.europe-moto. Has anyone had any issues with this?

I was going to buy the machined engine cover plate from the dealer and have them install. From what I've read on here, this is more difficult to do than I originally thought.

I bought one for my TC, but then I found you practically need to raise the engine to install it. Install on a standard R18 should be easier. So it’s been sitting in my closet. It’s for sale if anyone’s interested.

I ordered all of the Roland Sands machined parts to include the brake/clutch levers, bar ends, mirrors, valve covers and breast plate. I did the install of all the parts with the exception of the breast plate. For that I took it to the dealer, because you do have to remove the frame rails on both sides to get the plate on and the engine needs to be supported. I have the Kern Stabi now and could possibly do it, but I still think I would take it in for that

The dealer installed them on my bagger, and I attempted the install on the Bobber and only got as far as the cylinder heads. I will have a go at the breast plate in a few weeks.

I see you have the winglets on your bagger. Are they just not able to flip open with the original turn signals?
