For those that wish to remove the passenger pillion seat and the passenger pegs, it is very easy to do. Using a T-30 Torx, remove the single bolt holding the chrome trim cover at the back of the pillion seat. Gently lift the seat by the back and slide backwards. Then use your T-30 Torx to remove the 3 bolts holding the grab strap. Save the middle bolt for placing the Chrome trim cover over the rear mount of the riders saddle.
Using a T-60 Torx, remove both foot peg assemblies. When you get the bolt loose, hold the peg with your hand and remove the bolt completely. Use compressed air to blow the locktite residue out of the peg pocket to avoid scratching the paint.
Now you have no pillion seat (It is less room than the passenger seats in a Porsche 911) but you have 3 holes.
For the hole in the fender, order part number 46629444675 from your local BMW Motorcycle dealer.
For the footpeg holes, you CAN NOT get the part from a BMW Motorcycle dealer. They have the part number, but BMW Motorcycles and BMW Automotive are two separate entities and don’t play well. BMW Motorcycle stole the part from the automotive parts bin for the 4 Series cars. It is part number 51717056053 “Blind Plug”.
Hopefully this will help some other people.
