Optimate 4 - Battery Charger ordered

We finally are getting a little better weather here after snow and ice and single digit temps. I was going to ride my TC into work this morning, but bike would not start. Just got the bike a short time ago and the last time I had a motorcycle I lived in Arizona and rode year around and never connected to a trickle charger. I did not think abut it, but after 3+ weeks in very cold garage, my bike would not start. Thanks to some of the post on here and internet search, I just ordered an Optimate 4 premium. It should arrive in the morning. My bike has the din and the SAE connector, so I think the Optimate will work great. Looking forward to getting the bike running again.

Well done. I have the Motorrad smart charger but I rarely use it since I tend to commute on my B 4 days a week. Only if I am away for 3 weeks or longer, I then give the bike a charge and unplug afterwards. Not a fan of leaving the bike plugged in after each ride or over the winter months but that is just me. I just charge her when some time has passed without any activity and so far so good.

I've had the same Optimate 4 Canbus since my GS times, always had great AGM battery life > 4 years each.
It's not just that, it's knowing you can trust your battery during that yearly week long trip.

Well thanks to the Optimate, battery is back to full charge, bike is ready to go and of course it is raining today and tomorrow, then turning colder again...

LOL, well compared to when I lived in upstate NY, not very, but 20-30s F lows and 30-40s F highs is pretty cold to ride for me anymore... Still much milder than the single digits we had a few weeks ago.
