Oil leak

90 miles after my dealer serviced the bike, the bottom of the engine is covered with oil with a few spots on the ground. I also notice that the oil in the sight glass is above the top of the glass. I’m wondering if it was over filled :-|

IMO .. bring it right back to where you had it serviced !!

... or better yet have them pick it up.

From personal experience....... if the tranny is overfilled, there is a relief port out of which the excess oil will puke out. No damage, just a mess with a unique smell. That gear oil has a different odor that engine oil.

Update, it’s gear oil….They will check it out tomorrow.

The filler is a bit in an awkward place .. they may just have spilled some (I hope).

Update: Oil running down back right side of gearbox bnear output shaft. Origin of leak most likely from gearbox rubber vent plug.
