Kriga Luggage

So just bought a Transcontinental and been away for the weekend two up. Guess what my wife want’s more space especially if we are heading off for a week which we fancy.

I was looking at potentially the luggage rack that fits on top of the top box thinking that would take a Kriga 30l or 2 x 20 litre backs on top of the panniers.

I am a bit worried about the weight if I put it on the top box I know the manual says max 10kg load in the top box so may make the front a bit light if I add too much extra.

Anyone any experience in fully loading a TC for a week of 2 up touring ?

Sorry mate, no idea. I have the B as opposed as the TC. How about strapping some sort of soft luggage on top of the panniers

and keep the heavier items on a tank bag?

Thanks for this - yes that was my thoughts and I was looking at the Kriga 10l pack which I think will sit nicely on top of the panniers. It is more about the volume of items than weight (although obviously more pairs of jeans do have a weight 😄)

My gut feeling is keeping extra items low on the panniers will give better handling than putting bits on the top box but just wondered if anyone had any experience.
