Had anyone looked further down the remaining part of the airbox, between the filter to the Throttle body?
was there any restriction parts in that area?
i modded my old car(NA) air box and there was a restriction part that sort of reduces the amount of air that goes into the throttle body. after removing that part the car feels more "lively"

other experience from my Fiat, is that an open-pod filter like the DNA stage2 tends to get heat-soaked per fast.. i ended with an enclosure on the Fiat that reduces that amount of surrounding hot air and performance did improve..

i'm about to receive my DNA stage2 kit as well and will be checking out if the stage1 only is better than stage2 w & w/o the snorkel
