At the 600 mile service, I asked the service manager if they would adjust the idle up from 900 to 1100. He said the bikes idle could not be changed. This seemed odd to me as many of my bikes in the past were idle adjustable.
Was he just saying that BMW does not want their service techs to do this? or was he saying that no one is capable of doing it? I fussed and told the manager this seemed quite odd.
Also at the 600 mile service, I brought along a different back wheel and asked them to remove the existing wheel/tire and swap the rubber to the new rim. The service manager said BMW would not allow that. I said WHAT!?
Come to find out that they only change rotors if new bolts are used. So I ordered new bolts and left without the wheel swap. Ended up doing it myself in the garage using the new bolts. But the old bolts look fine. I used a wire wheel to remove the old locktight........the bolts are quite reusable.
