Hit by Driver Who Ran Red

Got hit by a red-light running driver Saturday. Effectively 90 degree impact on my right side. Multiple witnesses confirmed she ran red and I have dash cam footage to boot.

Was in hospital ER for about 8 hours. Serious injury to my left wrist from high-siding and hitting asphalt. Several other injuries but the wrist appears to be the most significant injury.

Had I been riding a bike that did not have the big-bore boxer like the R18 I would have likely had significantly worse injury to my right leg where she impacted me. Bike ended up hitting center divider, which is when it tossed me over the left side into the street. At least that is what I recall how it went down.

Judging from damage I am thinking the bike is a total but should know in the next day or two.

Feck!!!! I am so sorry to hear that man.
In the midst of things I am glad you did not sustain worse injuries. The bike can be replaced but lives cannot. Truly hope you recover quickly and also that the culprit is brought to justice. Running away from a scene of accident is plain wrong. Keep us posted.

Jeeez! I'm sorry to hear that .. That bike looks totaled for sure. No way in hell I'd accept repairs. ...
