Originally from London, UK I emigrated to Mexico in 2010 and haven't regretted a moment.

Test rode the red demo R18 my local dealer has, smitten.

Now it will be hard to play the waiting game until they offer decent discount on the 2021 black pinstripe first edition with RSD extras that they seem to have loads of.

They are offering 30% down and 0% interest 36 months on full list price at the moment MX$ 475,000

Unfortunately I cannot buy the US offers on here and import them as they are Berlin built ;-(

Anyway pleasure to meet you all, my wife is buying a Triumph Bobber soon

I don't think there is any sense of urgency here in Mexico, it seems they don't have many bikes at all and they cannot take US Slack..grrrrr.

They have 2 in stock I can look at:

1/ 2021 Pure R18 1st edition with all those extras listed in pic 5. 1668 KMs demo offered at MX$400k @20 US$20k

or

2/ 2021 new R18 Classic as shown in pic 6 at MX$460,000 @20 US$23,000

or

3/ Configure new at full 2023 list

All with 30% down and 36 months @ 0% Ts & Cs apply.. onerous insurance requirements through them.

3 years fully comp by BMW insurance added to bill and divided by 36 payments too. US$ 4300 (wow)

Does that brown seat make the bike higher?
Am I taking too much of a risk buying a demo...? doubt it has been run in properly..

Is the global nuclear apocalypse making this all pointless?
