Well, I just got pictures of my new seat.
I wanted something discreet and comfortable, so I went for a dark grey leather to match the metallic graphite paint on the bike, grey/blueish Alcantara for the rider’s side with a similar stitching pattern to the 719 option and medical gel for added comfort. The gold stitches to match the gold stripes on the bike.
The upholsterer added a strap in case a passenger wants something to hold on to but it is removable, so I will take it off since I ride solo. It has been dispatched today and I can’t wait to put it on.
Happy with the results and I’m am sure I will be happier once I see it in the flesh.

Top job. Very nice indeed and similar in profile to the Roland Sands seat.

For what it's worth I really like the strap and would leave it on. Up to you though obviously,,,

This is some seat! Tried to look back to see if you mentioned where it’s from and, of course, the damage to the wallet. Details are appreciated!

Absolutely. When I bought the bike I selected the 719 option seat since she was fully loaded except the seat. Then Frenchie from Mexico posted pictures of a seat he had commissioned in Scotland and the pictures blew my mind.
Since I am based in the UK, I thought I check the upholsterer website out and what I saw sold it to me.
I decided to buy a normal B seat from the dealer at a cost of £410.00 . Pricey but I didn’t fancy waiting for a second hand to appear on EBay and then reached out to Tom Hurley, the upholsterer. His contact details are on Instagram and Facebook.
He is a busy chap so 2 weeks or so later he replied and I told him what I wanted to do. He asked me to bear with him because he is a one man band but a month later he reached out and asked me to pay a £50.00 deposit (non refundable) to secure a slot in his calendar. That was April 2024. In November 2024 he reached out again and told me I was next in line. I sent the seat and here it is. Depending on what you want done will dictate the price. I opted for medical gel as opposed to foam and the Alcantara with stitching pattern to add a bit of class and he told me in principle it would be £750.00 for the lot. When I spoke to him on Tuesday night he said the final cost inc postage was £450.00 therefore I saved £250.00 from the original estimate as this includes the deposit.
Sorry for the long thread, I could have summarised this with 10 words but I wanted to give you the full picture in case you want to go ahead. He will ship worldwide. Check out Tom Hurley Custom Seats and you will see for yourself.
He is a lovely chap and has the patience of a saint 😂😂😂

Awesome! I appreciate all of the info. I have a spare stock seat just sitting waiting for a use, so maybe I'll look into this. Thanks!

Ok, I was able to swap the 719 seat for the new one and took the bike for an early coffee and croissant at the Bikeshed in London (36mls away)
Happy to report that the improvement in comfort is noticeable. The medical grade gel is firm yet plush enough and I can feel the pressure points getting an adequate support.
Another thing I noticed was the vibration dampening effect from road surfaces.
Overall, I am over the moon with this project.

wow, yeah. Really brings the level of lux up to the sky here. I might have to get on this guy's list with a very similar design.
