So, I Ferry from Nova Scotia, to Port Aux Basques or Argentia, NL every year on my bike. Either a 6 hour, or 18 hour ferry ride. Easy to strap down My old GS…. Crash Bars made that easy.

Does anyone have any experience and/or recommendations in strapping your R18B for travel?

appreciate any comments.

I know Buy Laydown bars for the R18B I guess.

No need to spoil the lines of the bike with ugly and unnecessary engine bars.

There is space to get a strap around the saddlebag support bars in front of the bags if you need a rear point as well but up front, loop a strap either side of the headstock above the lower triple tree.

I made several overnight passages on ferries from France to Sicilia, Sardegna, Corsica.
I prefer to seize the straps on the frame, higher than the crash bar.

I know, I so don’t want to spoil the look. Thanks for the suggestion, just waiting for the bike to return to me from the Dealer. Going to investigate Further.
