Harley muffler clearance assist!

Good evening!

I got a couple Vance and Hines mufflers from a softail I cut down to fit the bike and notice there is about a half to three quarters of an inch of the muffler aiming right at the swingarm. How do the aftermarket mufflers make this work without possibly cooking the swingarm? Thanks!

Update, got it bent down and out a bit.. added the chrome shields after I cut them down to size. Gonna check how the paint holds up after commuting tomorrow.
