Handlebar removal ?

Anybody have a video how to remove the handlebar from a first edition? I want to get my anodized black. Thanks!

See the attached directions for installing the Beachbars.. It's pretty involved when it comes to the electrical connections at the handgrips.

Thanks! Trying to follow along. For just removal of the bar, do I have to remove the tank to disconnect the electronics or do the electronics feed back through the bar?

Removing the handlebars is easy........It is all the stuff attached to the bars that is time consuming. ;-)

Seems like you have done it. My question is do the wires disconnect from both the right and the left or is one side disconnected under the tank. Thx

I have stock bars that I removed in order to install the Beachbars; I left the wiring in place within the bars, since I had to purchase longer wiring.

It will be easier for you to remove the wiring, as well as install the wiring after you get your bars painted; with that said, it will require lifting the fuel tank in order to get to the connections under the tank.

Document as much as possible, and be patient with the wiring at the grips..

Might consider powder coating. Two of my buddies have black anodized parts that are now bronze due to sun exposure.
