Galaxy Dust touch up paint

I've been looking everywhere to find Galaxy Dust touch up paint. I found an online retailer that listed it in this color. I ordered it only to have them email me two days later saying they couldn't make it. I'm curious if anyone has seen this anywhere. If so, I'd be interested in knowing the details so I could order some.

Some things I've learned looking into this, is that it doesn't appear the color is resident in the paint. Every color shift paint I've found has to be sprayed over a specific solid color base. I bought some Rustoleum blue/purple color shift spray paint, it's called Blue Cosmos. It clearly states that it has to be sprayed over black. When you spray it into a container, it's a clear liquid with metallic particles suspended in it. By itself, it is like sparkly clear coat. Using a touch up brush and painting onto a shiny black surface creates a color that is very close to Galaxy Dust. If I can't find a pre-made solution, I may try this as a back up plan for some minor scratches on my R18B.

Hopefully you don't actually need to touch up your bike, and you're only looking to have just in case...?

No, I bought it pre-owned, and it has two small scratches on it. I'm confident it will get little imperfections from riding, so these things don't bother me. It just adds character to the bike. That said, I like to be able to repair it.

Maybe try treating the scratch with some sand paper and a wax polish; I have a buddy who seems to erase scratches...?

Both of these scratches are deep enough that I'll need to fill them, although I do love the idea of using wax to cover light scratches and swirl marks. Here's the color I came up with. The paint was applied with a brush over a gloss black piece of plastic on the ink pen. It's not exact and the metal flakes in the OEM paint are larger. I'm thinking it should work, but I'll only know by actually applying it. As soon as it warms up here I'll give it a shot and post before and after pics.

This is what I'm working with. The one on the tank is more of a chip. The other scratch is small and its on the tip of the front fender.

That pen from the picture looks like a very good match. Take your time and do some cleaning and masking before you paint the area. If you can, then seal the repair with clear coat.
