For those who have a heated Corbin seat question.

Just installed a new Corbin seat on my R18B . It has a switch to the left lower side to turn on the driver only or driver passenger. When I switch to the driver only , next to the indicator light that shows that it’s on. ., 1 will flash if I switch to 2 , 2 will flash rapidly. Why is that happening?
 
Hmm. My experience with my heated Corbin is different. Still requires I dig through the menu to turn on the driver heat. If I flip the physical switch on the seat, I’ll see the icon for the passenger heat on my screen.

Have you contacted Corbin about the fault? I’d assume the flashing means something isn’t right. Does the seat warm?
 
I have I rocker switch it’s 3 position. I’m thinking the center position turns i
Seat element off . I talked 2 the guys at Corbin and they have no clue .
 
Got something new . When the ignition is turned on and engine is off , the number stays on all the time . Start the engine and its starts to flash . Anyone have any input on this ?
 
My Corbin seat does not do this…the rocker switch is only for the passenger, 1 position is low heat, 2 position is off, 3 position is high heat. Also, per their website it states the drivers heated seat is only controlled by the onboard screen and not the rocker switch. Since you have flashing in both on positions, I would assume that the connections are not fully engaged or a wire is pinched by reinstalling the seat. My best guesses.

Is it possible the wires are connected wrong under the seat?

Not OP, but wondered that myself. It’s a simple plug that only seats one way. Further, if the wiring was backwards, I’m not sure the heating element would work.

The idea of the wires being crimped under the seat makes some sense. Maybe there’s a broken wire that’s got enough connection to activate the seat, but sends a fault to the screen.

OP, what if you unfasten the seat, check the wire, give it a little slack, and see if it eliminates the flashing icon that way?

This is one of those problems I really wanna solve but I have no effin idea how.

I don’t think the OP has wires crossed since the connector is plug and plug and seats only one way. But maybe he didn’t seat the connector all the way, but then the heating element should not turn on.

Yes but there are two connectors under the seat. One for the passenger and one for the driver. I think the connectors are similar not sure if they are the same. The rocker switch is only for the passenger. The controls for the two seats are separate as is the wiring.

The B has only one line to plug in.

Correct. Only the rider is heated on a stock B. That one connection also fires up the passenger heating element on aftermarket seats tho. My guess for OP is that there’s something not quite right in the Corbin seat or the Corbin wire. I hope they’ll be willing to handle the issue without trouble.

Just checked my Corbin with rider and passenger heat. Just one connector.
 
OP, looking at my own Corbin, it looks like there is a connection point between the passenger heating wires and the harness that plugs into the bike. Check that that’s plugged properly and undamaged.

If nothing clears your fault, I’d be on the horn with Corbin to have them take the seat back to troubleshoot it on their dime.
