Not if you remove the speaker as you said you were ... just trying to understand why you would remove that.
same…. Unless you always ride 2 up and the same passenger gets annoyed by it…. But regardless they would still need to ping it…. Soooo.

Yea that’s fair. But taking out the speaker doesn’t get rid of the message…. Ok… so your doing this for the potential thief… they would not be able to ping it. That’s makes sense.

Also the AirTag following you message doesn't come up instantly. As far as I understand, It takes about an hour of going along with someone else's AirTag before Apple sends those.

Recently purchased a desktop CNC machine and still on a steep learning curve but thought Hey I could make something for that. Trying to decide on what to add in the center wither a BMW roundel or something a bit R18 unique.

So found the engine image which I think is iconic R18 and engraved that onto a puck to see how it turned out.

Haven't been out in the cold yet to try it on the bike but will take a look a bit later if it warms up and see how it looks.

The puck is a 3mm thick composite sandwich of an ABS material between two thin layers of aluminum and a layer of colour. I had some scrap red from another project so tried that first. designed for building sidings and outdoor signs so should hold up to the outside weather and washing.

Happy to hear thoughts or suggestions of any other ideas for the center engraving.

Cheers

Thanks.
Was playing around making some small keychain gifts out of 1.3mm bicolor plastic and tried the red on black.
Will try it on the bike over the coming days when a bit warmer. with wind chill -7 centigrade at the moment. And have to mess about to get to the left side of the bike to try the placement.
Cheers
Merry Christmas to all of you and have a great holidays
